We believe that everyone has a responsibility to give back as they are able and we encourage all business owners to support the communities that they serve.
Introducing Hill City Reserve
Carefully selected coffees are sourced in limited quantities and offered to our community as Hill City Reserve releases.
Each Reserve release is roasted only after a minimum number of orders have been received, keeping every batch fresh and truly limited.
Our everyday coffees will continue for current subscribers, but Hill City Reserve is now the home for all new releases.
Hand Roasted Coffee
We strive to provide the highest quality roasts at prices that are fair to our growers and customers.
Our roast to order coffee is clearly marked with roast date so you can see how fresh and personized coffee can be ----Our 100% arabica coffee is roasted and shipped the same week - sometimes within 24 hrs!
It’s easy to set up a monthly or biweekly subscription so you will always have a fresh batch available!
Hill City Roasters supports various charities and organizations bettering our communities. Please click here to learn more about Peace Preparatory Academy. According to Benjamin Wills, Founder & Head of School “Our story embodies the hopes and dreams of our communities. We’re here to educate the whole child, support the whole family, and create lasting positive change in our communities.”
Our inventory is constantly turning but we try to keep at least least three coffees at varying roast levels in stock as well as a decaf. We encourage you to try our subscription feature so you will always have a fresh batch available! You never know what you are going to get in the delivery but you do know it will be freshly roasted and tailored to your palette.
Most of our green (unroasted) beans come from Sweet Maria’s in California (or their wholesale site Coffee Shrub). The farmers that grow our coffee are part of Sweet Maria’s farm gate practice. Farm Gate Coffee is a direct trade coffee buying program where pricing is negotiated directly with the farmer "at the farm gate," price without any of the confusing export and import fees. These prices are above Fair Trade minimums, make it to the people who do the work and allow coffee producers to make premium prices in reward for coffee quality.
Coffee Review:
Brazil Salmo, Batch #3, Roasted on 1/1/2021
Brewing it smells AMAZING. Incredibly smooth. Little sweetness. There's a nice nutty aftertaste too. Might be my new favorite.

our inventory is very fluid. Therefore we cannot guarantee that all the coffee noted on our site will be available BUT we can guarantee that any replacement coffee will be the freshest crop from a similar origin and/or taste profile.
